We see our leaders climbing the stairs of stages, holding mics, conducting press conferences. We see them wearing blazers, holding up a smile, speaking of the great ideology that they share with democracy and the way their goals go hand in hand with the development and progress of their nation’s people. We witness the fired-up debates of candidates throwing nasty comments and participating in the rat race of winning the competition of targeting as many insults and conspiracy theories as possible. The days of the voting pass by. The chaos and the tension turns into suspense. Newspapers and media report the analysis of data obtained. At last, a winner is announced.
How often do we care to look at what actually matters? What exactly is it that defines a good leader? History remembers rulers who have mistaken their faults as the strength of their nation. We have witnessed rulers who mistake their vision as the vision of the people. Very often, these individuals show signs of being patients of disorders as dangerous as “Malignant Narcissism”.
The serial killers and the murderers we witness on Netflix documentaries aren’t work of fiction. These individuals aren’t people who isolate themselves in basements and only came out when they smell the scent of human flesh. These highly smart and meticulous individuals do not wear a different outfit or carry a hammer in their hands all the time. They don’t appear abnormal. These individuals walk among us, eat among us and laugh among us. At any given point of time, it can indeed be predicted that a serial killer of Malignant Narcissism is in the making or has already been made. Throughout history, we have witnessed how these individuals calmly carry the blood of their victim on their hands, come home, and kiss their wives and children and go to sleep. The next morning brings new beginnings, new victims and an increased desire to kill and fulfill the traits of the disorder owned.

The Israeli PM, Netanyahu, as we witness day by day, doesn’t fail to provide us with these signs and traits of Malignant Narcissism. Sadism (thousands of Palestinian babies, women and men brutally slaughtered and martyred), aggression (a series of blindly dropped bombs on schools, hospitals), anti-social behavior (denial of a Palestinian State), manipulation (concealing the deeds behind the veil of being the “Chosen One” and cruelty (stating “there would be no Palestinian State”) are some of the crucial traits one can always swear by are found in Netanyahu’s behavior.
These traits reappear across ideologies, geographies, and generations. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and Netanyahu. What most of the population fails to understand is that people with such mental issues do not belong to any ideology except for psychopathy and require a treatment as soon as possible. History is a proof of how such patients go unchecked and live amongst us. Observing the traits Netanyahu carries and the level of chaos and insanity that has been that has been brought upon the victims requires the international committees to diagnose this mental status as soon as possible.

Mental health remains an aspect that goes unchecked too often when it comes to political leaders. One may argue that reaching a certain status or height in a political career requires proper mental health status and well-being. There can be two countering answers for it: Number one, the patient wasn’t diagnosed with the mental issue whilst their earlier political career and Number two, the signs were too often ignored and this aspect wasn’t cared for much.
The idea of proper mental health isn’t much talked and discussed. While it remains an advancing and progressing initiative in schools, colleges and training programs, not much of it is stressed upon in the political field.
The PM of Israel resides in his parliament, sits on polished chairs and gives speeches standing on podiums, openly supporting the ethnic cleansing of millions of populations while a mother’s womb lays open somewhere in Palestine, a child’s toys remain broken under a rubble, a school teacher searches for bodies of his students while wishing if only the attack could’ve taken his life too.
Thousands of Palestinians have been deprived of basic necessities of life all due to the failure regarding the diagnosis of Netanyahu’s mental status. Observing the position and illegal power Netanyahu has achieved, it may as well be perceived that him and his family might themselves are aware of his mental condition but continue to lead a nation to blood baths and cleanse the population of other. We live in an era of technology; this century is progressing forward. Spreading propagandas, silencing his opponents by any means possible, being involved in scandals and illegal charges, making himself appear to be some “protector” and committing genocide on the other hand, using political influence and authority to make sure his own desires as a psychopath and Malignant Narcissist are fulfilled and sleeping peacefully with blood in his hands is what summarizes this patient’s mental history.
History has been a proof of how such patients have stood in stages and gave out speeches calling for people to kill one another, commit genocides and erase the existence of a mass number of people. International committees must look into Netanyahu’s mental status case before more and more innocents are killed. Netanyahu should be held accountable for his sick deeds and attention must be brought to this matter before more homes are demolished and even more coffins are laid.
